Five under £5 for June 2016

There’s a definite sunny day theme going on in this month’s five under £5 post, which is pretty fitting as it’s supposed to be an absolute scorcher today. We are on standby with the barbecue here, the paddling pool is all good to go so hopefully the English weather won’t let us down.

Even if it does, there’s no harm in pretending we’re on holiday with some of these summer brights. I’ll start with the foldaway palm print bag, which was £4.50 from Paperchase. Perfect for bringing out for picnics, pints of milk, lunchtime shopping fixes or (like me today) toy horse transporting. Handy!

Sam and Flo have developed a bit of a taste for fizz lately, mainly just fizzy water with a splash of juice in but we tried this Belvoir Raspberry Lemonade drink a few weeks ago and we all loved it. I bought a few cans to try at home for a special treat drink for the littles. However only one can has been drunk so far and that was by me… Anyway, it’s about £1.50 a can if you fancy trying it.

These floral paper napkins from Tesco were about £2 and are great for brightening up your table inside or out. I’m a bit of a sucker for buying serviettes and could probably bring out one for any theme going. No harm in adding a summer cocktail cruise collection theme, wouldn’t you say?

My kids love the Bear snacks – especially the fruit yoyos – so they are really into these Bear Claws in fruit and vegetable flavours. They come in a pack of five for about £5 and are great to have in for after school snacks or when you’re out and about. Both my children love the flavours and haven’t noticed these are things like mango and carrot, beetroot and blackcurrant, and apple, pear and pumpkin.

You can even play with them before eating them if you like – always a hit with my son – as they are cut into monster shapes ready to create your own little monster pal.

The last thing in this month’s five things is this fab orange keyring from H&M. I actually bought this a while ago but I checked and they still stock them, along with cherries, strawberries and a few golden pineapples. I think it was £2.99 – what’s not to love?

Thanks to everyone who joins in with these five under five posts, I love reading what everyone else has found and finding out where to pick up a pocket money treat.

PS I was recently sent the Bear Claws to try but my family are already massive fans, so they didn’t last long in the house!

I am such a sucker for any kind of reusable bag. I have so many! I have now started buying them instead of gift bags for birthday presents. You can get such funky ones, the receiver of the gift gets a reusable bag, and they are normally the same price as a gift bag! #fiveunder5

What a lovely colour coordinating collection Julia. My daughter tried the bear snacks for the first time at Geronimo last week and she was hooked, as I was too. I must get some in the shopping next week. How cute is the orange keyring x

I so need to do my post, I took some photos ages ago but they’re awful and I keep putting off using them 😉 I very nearly bought the pineapple key ring from H&M but my hands were full so thought I’d show some restraint! I love the palm tree bag too, very summery xx
