Five under 5

Five under £5 for March

My five things under £5 this month are a bit of a random mix, but then that’s kind of why I started this feature, to showcase those mini treats throughout the month and style them in a regular post. I’m so happy to see so many other bloggers joining in every month too, they always give me ideas for things I could feature the following month.

Whereas there was a slight Valentines theme to last month’s post, this month it’s turned into more of an interiors post, starting with the gorgeous succulent plant I bought from my local florist Eden Floral Design in West Kirby for about £3.50. I love these plants and they seem quite easy to look after, so I’m hoping this one will stay in my home a while! I’m giving it some special care after a conversation with my friend the other week, about how plants have feelings and can communicate with the stars. What a lovely thought! So this little succulent is getting lots of chatter from me lately.

Next up are a couple of purchases from Primark. I popped in on my lunch break from work the other day looking for a shirt for Sam for World Book Day, and although I left without a shirt I ended up with these cool copper coat hangers (£3 for a pack of five) and this cut glass candle (£2). There’s a bit of a trend for copper accessories right now so I couldn’t resist these hangers, and I know I’ll be using them in outfit posts soon so that was the perfect excuse to take them home.

I nearly always light a scented candle in the evening so can never have too many, and this one was a total bargain. I’m sure the scent might not live up to the more expensive ones out there but it looks pretty.

Do you ever see something for kids and think, I want that for me? Well this time I ended up just buying this little kawaii cloud necklace in M&S and wearing it myself! It was £3.50 and I know it will end up in Florence’s room before long as she is taking after me as being an accessories queen with an eye for a bit of bling. Yes, I know she is still only two!

Finally, the postcard from Paperchase says it all – Live, Love and Take Pictures. They have such a cool range of cards don’t they and I have loads dotted round the house and stuck to my fridge!

So that’s my Five under £5 for March. If you’d like to join in you can with a blog post or just a photo shared on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter. Just tweet me and let me know you’ve linked up using the hashtag #fiveunder5, and take the time to comment on a few other people’s posts.

Until the 5th of next month,

x Julia

Oh, I adore all of these. I would have kept that necklace for myself too. It is so cute. And I also love that cut glass candle. What a bargain. It is beautiful and looks like it should be much more expensive. Thanks for hosting lovely. I am thrilled to link up for the first time. Hugs Lucy xxxx

I love everything that you have chosen Julia. Succulent plants seem to be all the rage at the moment. I adore the necklace from Marks and Spencer. I have only just discovered the postcards from Paperchase and have just put 3 of them in frames for our new playroom. Infact I was very nearly going to include them in my 5 under £5 x

I love that little cloud necklace, M&S is getting a whole lot cooler recently! I would definitely want to keep it for myself too but it would look very cute on Flo. I need to try and get to paperchase for some more postcards, I never seem to get the chance to look properly when I have little people with me 🙂 xx #Fiveunder5
