Five under 5

Five under £5 for November

Paperchase reindeer

Chilli plant

This is the third of my Five under £5 posts, and I have to say I’ve become quite addicted to shopping around for them. What started as a bit of fun has turned into a great excuse to spend more time browsing – and buying – little treats, and although they won’t solve the world’s problems they might just cheer you up a bit.

This month I have been spoilt for choice with choosing my five things and am already nearly there with next month’s selection too. I’ve had such a lovely response to them that I’m even thinking of asking you to join in – it doesn’t have to be a blog post, it could be an instagram photo, twitter or Facebook post. What do you think – would you fancy putting a five under a fiver together too? If so, I’ll be publishing December’s post around the 7th so you have a few weeks to think it over.

Five under £5 November

Mini deer decoration, £3 Paperchase. Florence picked this when we were shopping one day and has since adopted it into her collection of Sylvanian Families.

C&B Salted Caramel Biscuits, £5, Booths. I bought these primarily because I liked the tin, but the biscuits are very good too.

Choc Shot Liquid Chocolate, about £2.50. This chocolate is 100% natural and can be used as a sauce, a spread or squeezed into warm milk and stirred to make hot chocolate. Sam loves this before bed and it’s become a bit of an autumn ritual. It is good though – I like a bit on my raspberries and yogurt. What a rebel!

Earrings, £5, Topshop. I just loved these little gold-coloured numbers. I don’t wear earrings day-to-day but like to put them in when I go out.

Gin and Tonic lip balm, £5, The Bath House. I bought this on my recent trip to their shop in Bowness-on-Windermere and love it! Who doesn’t want a gin and slim all day anyway?

I just realised this could be counted as a sixth thing, but it’s more of a prop so I’m not classing it as a cheat! It’s this chilli plant, which was £3 from a local florist. I bought this purely because it looks nice but I have to say it seems pretty easy to look after so far. Such a vibrant colour too.

So what do you think your five under £5 would be? Join me for December’s post around the 7th of the month and you could be in with a chance of winning a prize.

You can check out my posts from September and October if you’d like a few ideas.

x Julia

I love your 5 under a fiver too! Choc shots are great and I love your chilli plant. I think one of my five would be the winter heather which is everywhere at the moment, I have a couple of pots on my patio to cheer the garden up!

Oh count me in, I love your five under £5 spot and sometimes see things that would be very suitable indeed. This will be handy for secret Santas too. I love the Reindeer, it’s very Cath Kidstonesque, I also love the chilli plant, what a handy thing to have X X X

Gin and tonic lip balm? Oh hello! What a great idea to round up gifts like this – I always panic when I need to find something under a fiver and end up buying chocolates (not that chocolate is ever a bad thing of course!)
