Five under 5

Five under £5 for July

I’ve been putting together these five under £5 posts for a while now and never have I been so late or disorganised as I have this month. I think most of my posts start with a line about the chaos of life at the moment so I’ll keep that to a minimum, but I will say that I only really had two of my five things by 5pm today. Oops!

I haven’t been feeling very well lately and have been back and forth to the doctor’s today with an inner ear infection – more glamorously named labrynthitis. Though it may sound exotic it’s not much fun, and it’s giving me permanent vertigo. Anyway, I said I’d keep a lid on my moans so here are this month’s fabulous five finds under a fiver.

First up are these totally ace stickers which are supposed to remind you to take a little bit of time for you. We all know how difficult this is and although we don’t like to admit it, it is sometimes necessary to put these simple pleasures on our to do lists.

Stickers from Dorkface

They are designed and made by Jemma who runs a shop on Easy called Dorkface, have a look at her stuff for more cute stickers and prints. These are called the self-care sticker pack and are £4.

Next is this white paper fan, an absolute steal from Home Bargains at 99p. I love the look of these grouped together so I bought a few more white ones and a few pink to hang around the house for Florence’s third birthday this weekend.

Also in Home Bargains was this little bottle with a Cath Kidston inspired flower on. Really good for smoothies and juices for the kids, and again only 99p.

An idea I had for Flo’s party was to make some decorations from tissue paper, and I saw this in John Lewis the other day so bought it to practice with. I also have some in gold and pale pink and am hoping to make some simple tassel garlands, so watch this space. The three packs of paper came in at under £5.

My final choice this month had to be these fresh cherries. I absolutely love cherries and although they are a faff to prepare they just taste of summer don’t they? And they balance out all that Biscoff biscuit spread I’ve been eating! Tried that yet? It is so good, but so addictive!

So there is my five under £5. What are yours? If you’d like to join in then please either write a blog post or take a photo on instagram and add your link below. Just tweet me and let me know you’ve linked up using the hashtag #fiveunder5, and please take the time to comment on a few other people’s posts.

Thanks so much to everyone who has joined in so far.

x Julia

Such a cute milk bottle and I love the paper fan. I have recently hung a couple from the handles of cuboards, I just love the ‘fun’ vibe they give.

Sorry you are not feeling great. Hope it passes soon. Love all of these, especially the little milk bottle. I am so behind and have no idea what I have bought this month, hence my lack of contribution lol I will return again! Love reading peoples bargs though, lots of inspiration x
