Florrie’s first haircut

The time came this week for my little girl to have her very first haircut. Her wispy baby hair was beginning to curl out a bit at the bottom and although it was cute, as it grew longer it was starting to look a little wayward. I’m trying to grow out the front rather than cut in a fringe, so have been clipping it back but I’m finding it hard to make the sweet little clips stay in! I’m persevering with the front but decided the back was growing just too much into a mullet and needed a trim.
My friend Caroline volunteered, she is after all a very special lady to Florence as she was there at her birth! With a bit of help from Cbeebies and a bowl of breadsticks, Florrie sat still throughout and didn’t mind the hair do one bit. She must take after me, I love getting my hair done and would always go for a cut and blow dry over any other beauty treatment.

So here it is, Florrie’s first hair cut, a cute as a button bob for my girl. As for the baby curls, they’ll be saved in a box just like her brother’s are.

X Julia

Our girls hair is WILD but I know there’s no chance they’d stay still – brushing is a chore in itself!!

I have both of my girl’s first haircut hair too, in little boxes. She looks lovely. I know exactly what you mean about the struggle to keep clips in, I have no advice I’m sorry, I never mastered it xx

Oh wow, how cute?! She’s looks so lovely. My boys were (and the littlest still is) little terrors when getting their first haircuts. Screaming, stamping, planking on the floor. It still have nightmares!
