Fast face fixes with Green People

Mornings are pretty hectic to say the least and these days the last thing I have time for is making sure my make-up is perfectly applied before I run for the train to work.

On the days when I’m in the office, I have to get myself and the kids up, washed, dressed, fed and out the door at a time when really I’d like to just be waking up. If you’ve got children you’ll know what a military operation it is, and even on the mornings when you feel organised and in control there’s always time for a last-minute lost school bag, nappy change or need to have a certain pair of mittens with matching hat and scarf (that’s you, Flo!).

When I’m not working, things are easier but I still don’t set aside much time for me. To make sure I look presentable I have found a few reliable beauty products which I know can be applied really quickly and will last all day.

I’ve started using a tinted moisturiser instead of a foundation some days, which at first I thought was a bit light for this time of year but actually it gives really great coverage and is great at evening out skintone. My favourites are this H20 Skin Tint from Pixi, and the Tinted DD Moisturiser from Green People.

Mascara, lip enhancer and tinted moisturiser Green People http://rainbeaubelle.com

The Pixi product is a water-based tinted gel which doesn’t feel like it gives much coverage when it goes on, but after a minute or so somehow evens your skin out like a dream. I’ve had lots of compliments on my skin while wearing it.

The Green People one is really nice too, it acts as a moisturiser, primer and foundation in one and even has SPF 15 sun protection. It really reflects the light making it so flattering to wear.

Concealer is a must and Benefit Boing is a product I would even say has cult status. I always like to use a bit of pressed powder too and Hello Flawless from the same brand is my current favourite. It comes with a sponge and a brush applicator, so you can choose which level of coverage you need.

I’ve had a long spell without wearing mascara but recently I’ve felt brave enough to wear a bit again without it literally ending in tears! I must admit though it’s often the thing I forget to apply so always keep it in my handbag in case I feel like putting some on during the day. I’ve tried a few lately but this Volumising Mascara from Green People is lovely. So light but with lots of definition.

Their Enrich and Enhance Lip Primer is a great lip balm too, and works as a really good base if you feel like wearing a bit of colour too. At this time of year my lips get really dry so something like this really is the one product I wouldn’t want to be without.

Finally, as a huge blusher fan I’ve been testing out the Sheer Cheek Gel from Pixi. I bought this after my sister and I ended up having mini-makeovers at the Pixi counter on a day out last year. I’ve always worn powder blush before but love how this makes your skin glow.

So that is about the size of my mum-in-a-hurry beauty routine. Green People have offered me a full size tinted moisturiser, mascara and lip primer to give away to three of my readers, so please fill out the Rafflecopter form below if you’d like to enter.

If you could just let me know which product you like the sound of the most, and use the other options to get more entries. The winners will be chosen at random and so will the product they receive as I only have one of each I’m afraid! I’ll try my best to match you up with your favourite one though. Good luck!

x Julia

PS Green People sent me samples of their products to try before offering them to you! All opinions are my own.

It really is nice! I bought Pixi in M&S in Liverpool but I know you can buy it online. Green People has a stockists page on their website which should help, and they sell online too x

I’d love to try the Skin Tint (where is this brand, can I get it in Boots?) I wear less make up Mon -Fri than I used to these days usually just base and blusher and no eye make up because 1) Then I look different when I doll up and 2) I rub my eyes if I’m stressed so work and eye make up cause issues! keep wanting to try tinted moisturiser rather than foundation but never sure if it’ll be greasy or cover enough (I’m lucky to have good skin but uneven skin tone is my issue). Anyway, fingers Crossed! Awesome post btw! x
