Homes wish list – Peris and Corr, Twinkles papercuts and copper sparkle

Never mind the January sales, I always find they encourage me to shop and then I end up browsing and usually buying from the full price, new ranges anyway. That’s kind of what has happened here. I started casually looking for a new floor lamp for my lounge online, and before you know it I’ve created a wish list of home accessories to make the start of this pretty dull and gloomy month a little more sparkly.

Going back to the lamp, it’s something I’ve fancied for a while as the spotlight I currently have just isn’t quite right. It’s too bright when you’re right next to it and much too dark everywhere else. Not exactly relaxing and atmospheric! I’ve had my eye on these lampshades from Welsh brand Peris and Corr for a while and am thinking I might just have to get one.

I first saw their designs when we stopped off for a coffee on the way to Abersoch a few years ago, and struck gold when we parked up in a park which housed this lovely little shop called Adra Home.

My friend Rachel who blogs at The Ordinary Lovely also has one in her stunning home, and if you follow her you may just have seen it in her pictures.

Anyway, that was the start of my browsing, and these things are some of the accessories I window-shopped for along the way.

Ceramic dish, Habitat
Terrarium, Oliver Bonas. did you see them on Kirsty’s Homemade Christmas too? – not sure I would ever make one but I love the glass container.
Mirror, Wayfair.
Drawer handle, Oliver Bonas.
Utensil jar, Wayfair.
Rug, Habitat.

Lampshade, Peris and Corr.
Cushion, Peris and Corr
Papercut, The Twinkle Diaries shop

This papercut is absolutely gorgeous don’t you think? It’s made by another blogging friend of mine, Caro, who lovingly made a similar one for me at a very sad time in my life last year. Even so, every time I see it in my home I smile.

Oh no I didn’t!! How funny! I’m not sure it would withstand Ribena spills in my lounge, but I do love it! xx

Not tested with Ribena but it is quite forgiving and I love it – looks ok and we have had 3 kids trampling over it daily for over 6 months!

I think I’ve just fallen in love with that lamp shade, stunning! I am so into interiors right now, I have been looking online and browsing quirky shops in some of the funky suburbs around Melbourne looking for items to decorate our home (hopefully that will be ready to move into in April). I just brought a 1960’s Danish writing desk and I am so excited, the man is holding it for em until I move so I can’t wait to get creative on my new desk! Have a great day, always sending you love xx

Oh I love that lampshade, I love the boldness of it. There are so many lampshades that are so plain and boring on the highstreet, it is nice to see something a bit more fun! The papercut is so cute too, I love these but have never got around to getting one for myself.

I’m a huge Peris & Corr fan. I actually have two lampshades and two cushions and am currently looking for reasons to increase my collection. And I believe they’re not doing stationery too πŸ˜‰ x

Beautiful post – and yes that Caro is a clever old (well not so old) thing, isn’t she? I’m the same in the sales, I never seem to like anything in those and then end up buying something full price, so it’s safest to stay away πŸ™‚ #homeetc

That lampshade is a work of art and I can totally see why it inspired a mood board of wants, which are all beautiful, I especially like the drawer pull xx
