The Bath House Bowness

Sometimes you visit somewhere and you find a little gem of a shop that you just have to go in. I’ll admit I’m a bit of a product junkie and when I peeked through the window of The Bath House in Bowness-on-Windermere I knew I needed a bit of time to have a nosy round – and luckily thanks to my mum and dad I managed to get a bit of child-free browsing time one morning when I snuck out into the village early.

So early, in fact, that the shops weren’t even open yet – shame, as it forced me to grab a coffee and have a few moments peace in a lovely cafe across the road. There are lots of lovely little shops in Bowness, I had a quick browse in Joules and a few other shops too in my secret shopping hour.

The Bath House is full of luxurious body creams, soaps, fragrances and candles – it has such a relaxing, clean feel to it and the smells were just so fresh. I bought a couple of gifts for upcoming birthdays (I can’t reveal exactly what here!) and some frangipani and grapefruit body cream for myself.

I even went back for something else the following day, this time with Sam and Flo, who liked looking round too and filling a basket with loofahs… It was a far more relaxing mooch the day before!

Anyway if you’d like to have a look at their products online you can check out their website here. So that’s it – I just loved the shop and wanted to share. Hope you like it as much as I do.

I can spend hours in these types of shops, I love beautiful soaps and creams and would spend a fortune if I had a fortune to spend.
