I think I must have got carried away with the taste of sunshine we had last week, as this month’s Five under £5 is all about ice cream, colour pops and spring. These heart-shaped sunnies look a bit redundant today though, typically I’m off work with my little ones this week and the forecast is rain, rain and more rain. I’m not too worried though, we have wellies at the ready and are not averse to eating ice creams under a brolly!
Let’s hope Florence gets to wear her sunglasses at least once this week – she’s an accessory obsessive like her mama, but her sunglasses never seem to stay in one piece for long as she’s a bit heavy-handed with the arms (she is only two, after all). Her latest pair can be found in H&M for £3.99.
The Hello Sweetie notepad was another recent buy from Paperchase, along with these cute button badges I bought as party bag presents for Sam’s birthday later this month.
The notepad was £4 and the badges a steal at 35p each. Bagsy the one with macarons on.
I bought this lavender-scented Luxury Soap when I was in Utility in Liverpool the other day. It’s a design-led interiors and gift shop which is always great for a browse. This soap really does smell amazing and I love the retro packaging.
The ice cream nail files are a fun little essential which I bought in the girls’ department in John Lewis. A set of two for £2.
That’s my five under a fiver for April. If you’d like to join in, you can either write a blog post about it or just join in with a photo of your five picks on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter.

April 14, 2016 at 6:43 amI found this post via Twitter and was instantly attracted to it because of the lovely colours. I love all of your items especially the soap. I’m a real sucker for soap and can often be found in TK Maxx sniffing them all like a mad woman!
Utility is such a good shop isn’t it? I love having a little mooch in there to see what they’ve got and they do some funny greetings cards too!
This looks like a link I would definitely love to join in!
