Ah, March – all those chocolate eggs and hot cross buns to get us through to the first day of spring. They are so tempting aren’t they? It’s all the cute bunnies and chicks that lure us in, their little faces telling us there are no calories in the chocolates, that we can go on and just eat them all!
I bought a few different kinds of eggs the other day to see how they looked in these jars, and they look so pretty I think it’s a really nice idea if you want to give something a bit different this Easter. The little milk bottles are from Lakeland and they’re decorated with parcel ribbon from Paperchase. Such an easy thing to do but so appealing to little ones.
I have to say, after taking these photos the bottle of eggs has been eyed up by Sam and Florence, and last night we cracked (no pun intended) and broke into them for our movie night snacks. The only problem being which to go for first – I mean we know they all taste the same, but to a toddler, the spotty pink ones are entirely different to the stripey blues, aren’t they?
These beautiful flowers were delivered to me last Saturday, from two good friends to mark what would have been my fifth wedding anniversary. I’m kind of getting used to having so may flowers around the house, I really love the colours of these and irises are one of my favourites.

March 20, 2016 at 12:43 pmThat is such a pretty easter tray. I love the colours and well done on the eggs lasting as long they did, in my house blink and they would have been gone 🙂

March 20, 2016 at 8:45 pmSo pretty, Julia. To be fair, any post featuring mini eggs gets a big thumbs up from me. I have those little milk bottles from Lakeland too. The boys will drink absolutely any fruit/vegetable concoction if it’s served to them in a bottle with a straw.

March 30, 2016 at 10:09 pmI have always thought that having flowers around the house makes you feel better. They make me smile! Until I have to empty the cases that is, then I’m slightly less fond of them. I hope you had a lovely easter and enjoyed lots of chocolate.xxx

April 4, 2016 at 8:39 pmJulia, I love this. I adore the colours you have used. And that spotty vase is stunning and perfect to show off a bouquet of Spring flowers. Plus, the idea of putting Easter eggs in little bottles and jars is genius and also completely cute. I adore it all. #HomeEtc. Hugs Lucy xxxx
