I love simple styles and tunics like this one from Joules are perfect for weekend dressing.
The Liza style has a really soft, luxe feel to it with its fine knit and silk-like patterned panel at the back. I love a slightly longer, looser top that I can wear over jeans or leggings with boots, a classic but comfortable look perfect for this time of year.
Last weekend we were invited to a Sunday brunch party with some of our closest friends, in honour of our host’s twin girls who have just turned seven.
We gathered early, drank tea, ate scrambled eggs, muffins and fruit, and as the kids took their food for a picnic in the lounge, the grown-ups managed to get some time together to actually talk while the little ones played.
It was the perfect time to wear this beautiful new tunic which I was lucky enough to be sent from the lovely people at Joules. I’ll get some photos of myself wearing it over brunch, I thought, there are plenty of people around to help, it will make some lovely shots.
I think when these thoughts went through my head I’d forgotten how hard it was to take photos during a kids’ party, and well, the need for tea, hugs and chat with my friends took over.
We managed to get some photos after brunch though, and luckily for me one of our friends is the talented photographer Colin, who I’m sure was thrilled to be handed my camera and taken outside in the cold!
I do love Joules and this top is really high quality, stylish and comfortable, and adds a bit of interest to the classic grey knit.
x Julia
