I’ve got a bit of thing for anything rose-scented at the moment, I think ever since I was given some rose hand cream from Jurlique I became a bit obsessed. My favourite perfume has a strong hint of rose (Le Parfum by Ellie Saab, if you’re interested), I have some gorgeous rose body lotion from the Body Shop and every time I pass a Jo Malone shop I have to go in for a spritz of rose cologne.
Organic beauty brand Green People is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and to mark it, it has brought out the Damask Rose and Orange Blossom collection. I was sent a few of their products to try and the moisturiser is already a firm favourite of mine.
The face cream is really rich but not oily and is a great match for my skin. I was sent a sample size and have already ordered the 50ml product. It claims to boost radiance and reduce the appearance of wrinkles, and I think it really delivers.
I’m a bit of a product hoarder and have been trying to use up samples I have in my cupboard the past few months, so the arrival of this new fave is well-timed!
The Damask Rose Hand Cream is lovely too, nice and light and in a pump dispenser which makes it easy to use – no trying to screw the lid back on with slippery hands.
I’ve also been trying out the Orange Blossom Exfoliator, which again is really fresh scented, light and 92% certified organic.
When Green People began in 1997, it promised to never use aggressive ingredients or synthetic chemicals such as sodium lauryl sulphate, parabens, phthalates, petrochemicals, alcohol or synthetic fragrances or colourants, and to never test on animals.
It’s good to know that what you’re putting on your face is as free from chemicals as possible and ethically produced too. A firm favourite in my bathroom!
