Snuggling up for sleepovers with Ollie and Leila

Snuggled on the sofa

My kids love sleepovers – or should I say they love the idea of sleepovers.

Both Sam and Flo have beds that pull out and transform from singles to doubles (the IKEA Hemnes day bed) and they’re always asking to stay in each other’s rooms.

Each time we’ve tried, it’s been a long old slog trying to get them to settle down, and they’ve inevitably ended up in their own rooms or in bed with me!

It’s always handy to have options though, and these soft fleecy sleeping bags are a great thing to have in the house to provide extra beds for when visitors come to stay.

When we were asked to try out the Snuggle Sacs from Ollie and Leila I knew they’d be a hit. Both my kids like to cosy up under blankets on the sofa – something which I’m sure came from living in a cold house! – and I might have known they’d spend lots of time in them not to sleep, but to snuggle.

I got them out to show them on a Sunday afternoon a few weeks ago and they immediately set up a little chill out area on the sofa in their snuggle sacs. They tried them on the sofa, on the floor, in a chair, to say they tested them out is an understatement. Sam has even slept in his a few times, once on the floor and a few more times on his bed.

They’ve watched a few films tucked up in them too. I’m really impressed by the quality of them – they’re made from really nice and thick padded fleece and are fully cotton lined. They have a space for you to slide a pillow in as well, making the perfect little nest.

They roll up into their own bags too, which means they’re really easy to store. They squash down quite a lot when they’re in the bags so you don’t need a lot of space to keep them either, they would easily fit under a bed or in a cupboard.

Just right for Christmas visitors!

My daughter has the same bed too but we haven’t made it into a double bed yet (partly because we only have one mattress at the moment). These sleeping bags look so comfy, and perfect for snuggling on the sofa at this time of year x
