A parcel from Down Under

 

Just put baby gal down for a nap, did a super quick tidy of the house (and I mean just the basics, like wiping away breakfast crumbs, putting a wash on and scooping up loom bands and pencils from the kitchen floor), sit down to do some writing, and there it goes, the loudest knock on the door ever. Actually not just a knock, but a full-on letterbox twang, perfect for waking a sleeping babe.

Turns out I was a bit previous with my grumpiness, as babe did not wake and the postman handed me a couple of parcels, one for me and one for baby gal. Even better, the one for baby gal has come all the way from Australia, and I know exactly what it is. A package of beautiful baby clothes from a very stylish friend (thank you so much Jane!), whose daughter has just outgrown them. Lucky me hey! Now I’ve opened the package, I just want to wake my babe up and put her in some of these cute things. Beautiful cotton playsuits that are just what she needs. I love getting hand-me-downs, and am very lucky in that my sister has girls older than mine and a boy younger than mine, so we can pass things on both ways.

I don’t know about you but I love buying clothes and accessories when I go away, so I can bring a bit of a memento back home. I feel like I’ve just been sent a parcel full of holiday pressies right here! Actually, I’ve been thinking of running guest posts on my blog of cool finds for big and little people from far and away…is this something you’d like to see? I am the ultimate window shopper so this is definitely something I would read but thought I’d test the water first! I’d love to hear your thoughts…

The second parcel was a top which I ordered for myself from Danish brand Soaked In Luxury. I actually tried it on in a shop the other day but they didn’t have my size so I ordered it online. It’s white cotton, fits like a dream, perfect for summer, happy days!
